Diploma Thesis

The diploma thesis is an important final stage of the educational process at the Prana Visions Breathwork School. It is an invitation to pause and see how far you’ve come. It is a moment of integration – not only of knowledge, but above all of experience.

It is not just a formality – it is a conscious conclusion to a process in which knowledge meets practice, and personal transformation meets readiness to work with others.

We have prepared a clear and supportive structure that helps organize the material and navigate this stage in a calm, clear, and achievable way for everyone.

The purpose of this thesis

a summary of your personal transformation,
a deeper understanding of the rebirthing method,
demonstrating your skills in working with others,
some thought on how you want to run your sessions in the future.

It’s not about academic perfection. What matters most is authenticity, mindfulness and the integration of experience.

Format of work

Praca pisemna – to graduate, students are required to produce a written dissertation, including brief notes on the individual tasks described below.
Language – the work should be submitted in English (it may be translated using a translation tool, but should be checked by a native English speaker).
Delivery time – You have one year from the date of graduation to complete your thesis.
The date may be extended by prior arrangement with Rani.

Structure and requirements for the dissertation

I

Be the client in twenty of your own sessions

Your own sessions should be conducted outside the school, i.e. between courses. Ten should be led by a single rebirther (as a single process) and ten of your choice – these may be sessions with different rebirthers or group sessions.

A session may be led by someone from the same group (a student). However, to ensure full focus on the person breathing, it is recommended to work in threes: person A works with B, B with C, and C with A. Direct exchanges in pairs should be avoided, so that at any given moment one person is fully the centre of attention.

Write a short note after each session. Pay particular attention to the insights and changes that influence your life and steer it in the direction you have chosen.

II

Conduct ten sessions as a rebirther with three different people

Your client base should include both women and men. It would be ideal if clients could work with you once a week, but other arrangements are fine too!

As for payment for sessions: it would be advisable for no more than one of these clients to be free of charge, and for the other two, charge a fee that feels balanced, based on your experience so far!

If you are already working professionally with clients in some capacity, you could work for a fee with all three clients at, for example, a lower rate – find your own balance in this.

Write a short note after each session.

III

Read the essential literature

Take notes on your reading – what moved you, what you found important. Below is a list of required reading for the coming semesters:

Semester 1

Gunnel Minett – *Exhalation: An Overview of Breathwork*

Semester 2

Harriet Lerner – *The Carousel of Intimacy*

Semester 3

Eckhart Tolle – “The Power of Now”
Dalai Lama – “Ethics for the New Millennium”
Kylea Taylor – “The Ethics of Care”

Semester 4

Marshall B. Rosenberg – “Non-Violent Communication: A Language of Life”

And additionally to be read during the course:

Joy Manne – “I Breathe, Therefore I Am. Know Your Breath, Know Yourself”
Michael A. Singer – “The Unfettered Soul”

IV

Supervision

During the course of the programme, you will have five meetings with a supervisor (these may be with different supervisors). The aim of these meetings is to support students in working as professionally as possible.

Use K. Taylor’s book *The Ethics of Care*. Work through challenges and difficult cases. Discuss what working with clients brings out in you.

Take brief notes of these meetings.

V

Assisting

Act as an assistant for four full days, ideally two days with Rani and two days with another teacher.

Pay attention to: the dynamics of the work, how the group is led, your role and your experience.

Write a brief summary of the sessions.

VI

Public speech

Gather an audience of at least five people and talk about rebirthing for no less than 45 minutes, including time set aside for questions from the audience. You can do this with someone else from the class; in that case, gather an audience of at least six people and have each of you give a presentation both as a team and individually.

Write a short note about the session: what was important to you, how you felt, and what you learnt.

VII

Physical training

Exercise for at least 45 minutes, at least once a week, on a regular basis for at least eight weeks. Do whatever you feel is right for you and energetic enough to get your heart rate up and make you break a sweat.

VIII

Charity

For at least 30 days, set aside at least 2 zł a day. As you do so, connect with all of humanity in your heart. Once you have saved up a certain amount, donate it to a cause of your choice.

IX

Fasting – voluntary

Fast one day a week for 12 weeks. You may drink juices and water.

The purpose of fasting is to make us aware of our dependence, not only on food, but generally on various external and internal factors.

Not recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding women.
